It was an attempt made for designing the magazine cover of 'ART INDIA' for last quarter issue showing Durga Puja as cover story.
The art work was made with lots of tits and bits.i.e.First refined piece of jute was pasted on hard board, then on top of it, bengali silk was pasted giving appearence of bengali sari border and finally colours are used for completion.Text matter is all through computer.
Art is self expression of ideas which can't be defined in particular terms.It achnowledges both the ideas and the facts of life.It is a thing which can be seen and found in every sphere of the world.
Art came into existence in the form of cave art in 35000-10000B.C.The origin of word Art or Kala is from the word Kal which means beautiful, sweet, soft and which gives comfort, happiness,pleasure to the creator and spectator.
Bharat Muni was the first person to use the word Kala in his Natyashastra which means skills,texurity and craftsmenship.
First time Kala word was used for Fine Art or Performing Art and Shilip for Useful Art. Shilip word was used for the potter,the sculptor, the architect or for any designer.But Kala or Art was used for all types of Performing Art and painting.
In an ancient book Shukraniti and Kamasutra of Vatsyayana Mallanaga, 64 types of Art in which an activity can be performed. Those arts help a man to get Dharma(religion), Arth(money), Kama(worldly pleasure) and Moksha(salvation).
In today's time, Art has become part of everybody's life, as it has become the most powerful mode of communication.It is more powerful then verbal means of communication to render experiences and feelings in less threatening and more acceptable form.

This picture was by chance. Can u guess, what it is? Actually, this picture is a result of attempts done during my photo shoot of Fox toffees.
For this picture, macro lens has been used .It has been clicked during day time so no studio effects are there.
Therefore, it is a perfect trial!!!
